LabNET
An application that runs an entire ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system.
ISO 17025 asks a laboratory to record everything it does: which revision of a document is in force, who approved what and when, which corrective action closed which nonconformity, when a pipette last passed an intermediate check. Kept in binders, those records turn audit week into an archaeological dig.
LabNET holds them in one place and keeps the links between them — a corrective action stays tied to the nonconformity that caused it, which stays tied to the audit question that surfaced it.
Why it exists
Off-the-shelf quality software is general-purpose: it does not know 17025’s procedure numbers, form codes, or the approval chain that changes with document type. LabNET is deliberately narrow — its scope is 17025 and nothing else. Samples, analyses and reports stay in LabSIS.
What it does
Document control
Controlled documents, revision history, and an approval chain that varies by document type.
Nonconformity & corrective action
Recording the nonconformity, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and verification of effectiveness.
Internal audit
A 132-question bank, a twelve-month plan, and findings that link straight into corrective actions.
Risk management
A likelihood × impact matrix, risk owner, mitigation, and re-assessment.
Environmental conditions
Clause 6.3 temperature and humidity monitoring, out-of-limit alerts, per-instrument history.
Intermediate check records
Periodic check records for pipettes, balances and similar equipment, each sheet with its own header data.
Reference materials
Certified reference material inventory, expiry tracking, and z-score evaluation.
Training records
Staff competence, training plans, and attendance records.
Purchasing & suppliers
Request-and-approval flow, supplier evaluation, and the approved supplier list.
Management review
Collecting review inputs and outputs, tracking decisions, producing a single output file.
External audits
Accreditation body audit records, findings raised, and the corrective actions linked to them.
Document assistant
Natural-language search across the quality documents, showing which clause of which document each answer came from.

Under the hood
- Server-side PDF generation with embedded fonts, so output opens exactly as audited.
- No external CDN — every asset is served locally, so the interface survives a dropped connection.
- A polymorphic change log recording who changed which field of which record, and when.
- Single sign-on from the LabSIS menu; no second password.
- Nightly automated backup with integrity verification.
